Ray Boaz's Obituary
Raymond Boaz, born in Covington, KY on January 26, 1947, left our earth, but never our hearts on July 9, 2015. Ray defines the words integrity, perseverance, and family: a family he cared for so much. All of whom encountered Ray had the utmost respect for the businessman, husband, father, and most proudly the grandfather that he was. Ray was a man to be respected, admired and loved. It was easy to see from him that family was his greatest love. He is joining his oldest daughter Carmen Rae; as she has waited patiently for her Daddy. Ray leaves behind his wife of 48 years Mary (nee DeVere), his son Greg, his daughters Amy Garry (John), and Gina Bryant (Richie). And his much adored grandchildren, Lauren, Bailey, Trey, Livi, Hanna, and Chloe. As well as his sister Bonnie McConnell and brother Kenny Boaz and their families. Ray was a great example to all of his family and friends who love and will miss him so much. Viewing and services will be Sunday July 12, 2015 from 1:00-2:30 with burial to follow, both at Memorial Park Funeral Home, Poplar Ave Memphis, TN. 38119. The family asks in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN., in honor of Carmen Rae Boaz.
