Randy E. Howerton's Obituary
Randy Howerton was born in Memphis on 8/21/1953 to Otho and Jeanette Howerton. He left this world on June 24th in Memphis.
Randy was a Trezevant High School graduate, where he played trumpet in the marching band. He enlisted in the Navy right after graduation, and did his four years of service aboard the USS Glennon, with a tour in Vietnam and a tour in the Mediterranean.
After his service, Randy worked for AT&T until his retirement. In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by stepdaughter Stacey Owen, his grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice of Cordova, children Christopher (Joe) Howerton of Sacramento CA, and Shannyn (Eric) Riley & two granddaughters Laynee and Hannah Stuart of Bartlett, brother Bill Howerton of Memphis, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Randy will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
