Randall George LaPlante, Jr.'s Obituary
Randall George LaPlante, Jr. 78, of Olive Branch, MS passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018. Known as “Paps” to his family, he was an incredibly kind, faithful, generous, humble and extremely humorous individual. He is survived by his wife, Stacia Bayzie, children, Randall G. LaPlante III., Karen LaPlante French and John Richard Bayzie (Elizabeth), five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was a University of Memphis sports fanatic, supportive father, loving husband, gracious grandfather and great-grandfather, fantastically funny friend and servant of the Lord. Mr. LaPlante was a member of the Unity Masonic Lodge, 32nd Degree Mason, member of the Alchymia Shrine, board member of the Liberty Bowl Association, Director of the Liberty Bowl Waterboys, President of the White Station Gourmet Club and retired from Turner Dairy. In the end, he was at peace, his body was tired, and he was ready “to get home to Heaven and give them all kinds of…” (you know what he would say). He will be sorely missed by so many. We know he’s up there joking around with God and all the angels. We love him dearly and know he’s smiling down on us. The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, April 23rd from 12:30pm until 2:30pm when the Celebration of Life Service begins. All services will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis. The burial will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals For Children.
