Randal Marks Tims' Obituary
Randal Mark Tims passed away unexpectedly at the age of 59 on the evening of January 11, 2022.
Randy was born on July 3rd, 1962, at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas, to parents Charles and Priscilla (Mullins) Tims. He was the oldest of four children and always prided himself on being a big brother to Tracy, Doug, and Davey.
He was a loving father to four children. As anyone who ever met him could tell you, he adored his children and was proud of them beyond measure. He loved nothing more than telling anyone who would listen what each of them were up to at any given time.
Randy displayed a wide array of talents throughout his life and was never afraid to learn new skills. After having positions in sales for most of his career, he made up his mind to enter into the field of recruiting and never looked back. He loved getting to work with people and truly connected with many of the people he sourced and placed.
He will always be remembered for the way he could talk to and get along with anyone, his incredible sense of humor, his impeccable and ever-evolving taste in music, his love of cycling, foreign cars (especially BMW’s), and his beloved Texas Longhorns. Nobody looked as good in burnt orange as he did.
Randy will be remembered for the way he loved Jesus and the way he loved others like Jesus would love them. His faith got him through many tough times, like the sudden loss of his mother and youngest brother. He would tell anyone that it was through Christ that he was able to persevere.
Randy is survived by his four children, James Andrew Tims (Melissa), Samuel Davis Tims (Ellis), Mary Randall Locke (Bryson), and Matthew Sloan Tims, his father, Charles Tims, his uncle, Buddy Mullins, his sister, Tracy Tims Word (Tom), and his brother, Doug Tims (Mary Margaret). Randy is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and 13 nieces and nephews.
Randy is preceded in death by his mother, Priscilla Dee Tims, his brother, Davis Mullins Tims, and his grandparents, Henry Lee Tims, Bettye Sharp Tims, Burnus Adler Mullins, and Douglas Crenshaw Mullins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to Calvary Rescue Mission (960 S. Third St. Memphis, TN 38106)
