Ralph Franklin Robison's Obituary
Ralph Franklin Robison, 81, passed away November 8, 2014. He was born on June 5, 1933 to Augna Ward and Willie Edgar Robison. He was a first team All American football player at Southside High School, where he also played baseball. He went on to play football at Ole Miss. He was a Golden Gloves boxer and an avid fisherman and golfer. He retired from Saybolt after 40 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Anna Briggs Robison; children, Renee Robison (Vincent Tom), Robin Robison (John Hampton), Michael Robison, and Robert Williams (Laura); grandchildren, Jonathan Williams, Evan Robison, Forrest Williams, Elizabeth Williams, and Willa Bay Tom; great-grandchildren, Adelaide Robison; sisters, Mary Artman and Dorothy Taylor; and brothers, James Robison and Richard Robison. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Freddy Robison and Forrest Robison. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Regional One Health.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall.”
