Rachel Lyn Sullins' Obituary
Rachel Lyn Sullins, 59, passed away April 19, 2023.
She was born on June 28, 1963 in Memphis, TN. She went to high school abroad in Africa where she graduated and later finished top of her Nursing class at Harding University.
She was a fun-loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Above all Rachel was a faithful member of the Church of Christ her entire life. Rachel was a Registered Nurse for many years at LeBonheur Children’s hospital where she was awarded “Nurse of the Year.”
She leaves behind four children and three “in-law children”: Minnie Allen (Jordan), Blisse Hatcher (Blake), Ethan Young (Kimberly), and Annabelle Young; Seven grandchildren: Jaxon, Eden, Abel, Elias, Garren, Mace, and Titus; both parents: Jerry and Edith Sullins; three siblings: Tara, Ray (Cindy), and Laurie; as well as six nieces and nephews: Nikki (Luke), Trey(Ruth), Ivie (Tyler), Cal, Chase and Lilly. Aunt: Patsy DeShields, and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her Grandparents: Frank U. and Minnie Pewitt and Edward T. (“Abe”) and Cassie Sullins; uncles, Bobby Sullins and Frank Pewitt, and aunt, Vivian Gonzales.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, May 3 at 9:00 a.m. with a funeral service at 10:00 all in the Riverside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
