Quyt Van Truong's Obituary
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Quyt Van Truong, our beloved grandfather, father and friend to all whose lives he touched, on Feb 5th 2022. He left us peacefully at his residence in Crossville, TN with his Beloved wife Hang and children by his side. He was 94 year old.
Born in a small village in Hue Vietnam as a son of a farmer, he had greater ambitions which led him to a career military officer, a Major in The Army of the Republic of Vietnam. He was fluent in French and English as he traveled to United States several times in the 50’s for military training.
Following the end of the Vietnam war, he was sent to re-education camps, where he endured torture, starvation while forced to do hard labor. Despite all the hardships, he resiliently came through with a positive attitude. Freedom at last when he was able to take his children to the United States in the 90s, as war refugees.
He was a great father who did the best he could to teach and guide them, a loving grandfather and “great-grand” father to many. He is loved and will be deeply missed by many!
