Quinton M. Claunch's Obituary
Quinton M. Claunch, 99, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on April 10, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell H. Claunch. Mr. Claunch is survived by his two sons, Phillip Stephen Claunch and Tim Claunch (Pam), two grandsons, Derek Evan Claunch and Dan Andrew Claunch, and a great-grandson, Evan Lee Claunch. The family would like to give a special thank you to Mr. Claunch’s healthcare provider, Chandra.
The Memphis music industry will miss Mr. Claunch from his early years when he played for the Blue Seal Pals. He was one of the original owners of HI Recording Studios in Memphis. At the age of 93, he recorded his last album at Muscle Shoals Sound Studios.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, April 14 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the Rotunda in the Mausoleum at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis.
At the request of Mr. Quinton M. Claunch, those in attendance are asked to dress casual.
