William and I were blessed by her friendship as were my parents. She was like a sister to us and a daughter to my parents and Scott and Doug their other Grandchildren.
Words can not begin to express what a wonderful loving special friend and lady she was.

I was truly saddened to learn of Phyllis's death. WE were in the same classes at Messick for twelve years and she was always so sweet. Phyllis was a great neighbor to my parents the Mellard’s. I was so happy to know she & the boys were across the street from them . She was always so sweet to them. I continued to send Christmas cards to her just to thank her for loving my parents. Also it was nice to have a fellow Messick graduate nearby them. Brenda Mellard Anderson
Miss Phyllis was one of the most caring and awesome people I have known. Everyone loved her and she was one that remembered with cards everyone's birthday, anniversary, and even all the holidays! She was such a treasure to us all, she will be sorely missed by so many. I pray for her family and know she is dancing in heaven!
