He was a lifelong roofer, a member of the Memphis Roofer’s Local for more than fifty years and served as the Local’s business representative in later years. His favorite things were family, friends, sports (especially his Memphis Tigers) and being outdoors enjoying his beloved golf. Our Poppy was quick witted and loved a good laugh. He will be greatly missed. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 17 at 11:30 a.m. until service begins at 1 p.m. at the Memorial Park Funeral Home. A private burial for the family will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
