Phillip was one of my best friends. He had this exuberance that I really admired. Life dealt him a rough hand, but he always managed to be fun-loving and full of life. He always had something interesting to say. He cared about world issues and loved to talk about philosophy. He was very intelligent and imaginative. Video games and music were his escape from reality and he was quite good at both. I wish we had gotten to have more times to play games together. He genuinely cared about his loved ones in a way that is rare to find these days. He would check up on me, something not even my family members do. I’ll never forget that. He will be deeply missed. He was much too young, and taken way too soon. I love you Phillip, and I’ll always remember you.
