Peter "Pete" Andreoli's Obituary
Peter “Pete” Andreoli, 94, of Memphis, TN was born January 29, 1918 in Memphis and passed away Monday, April 23, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. He was surrounded by his loving wife, Margaret, his loving family, Luisa Braggio of Alessandria, Italy and exceptionally caring neighbors. A native of Shelby County, he was the son of Vittorio and Margaret Alpe Andreoli. He attended school at St. Thomas Catholic School in Memphis. Peter served his country with distinction as a SSgt, 111th Artillery Battalion, 29th Division, which assaulted Omaha Beach on D-Day during World War II. After the war, Peter worked as a butcher, owner of a candy factory and for many years the owner of Castallia Supermarket. A life long catholic, Peter was a faithful parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church. Peter had twelve brothers and sisters, eleven are deceased, with John Andreoli living in Huntsville, Alabama. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-one years Margaret Boveri Andreoli. The Andreoli family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Baptist Trinity Hospice. The family will begin receiving friends from 5:00 pm until the rosary service starts at 7:00 pm, Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Memorial Park Funeral Home-Memphis. A funeral mass for Peter will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, April 27, 2012 at St. Louis Catholic Church-Memphis with the interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery-Memphis. In lieu of flowers the Andreoli family requests the memorials be sent to St. Louis Catholic Church.”Behind the Stone Wall”
