Pete James Sciara's Obituary
Pete James Sciara, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at the age of 25 years. Pete's entire family is deeply saddened by his passing.
Pete was born on December 10, 1996, in Memphis, TN., the first child of Sam J. Sciara and Bridgette McLaughlin. Pete was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pete and Mary Sciara, and his uncle Jay Adams. Pete is survived by his son, Liam S. Sciara; father, Sam Sciara, mother, Bridgette McLaughlin (Anthony); siblings, Mary, Sam, Jr., and Michael Sciara; and his grandmother, Sara Frazier; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and longtime girlfriend McKenna Kohlhof.
After graduating from Vero Beach High/Desoto County High School in 2016, Pete attended Northwest Community College with a focus on business. During Pete's time at Northwest Community College, Pete was also employed at Federal Express as a dock supervisor. Pete loved the outdoors, especially the beach, and traveling to Corinth, MS to explore the outdoors and take his son Liam fishing. Pete was extremely loving and compassionate, and he was willing to help anyone in need. He was often referred to as "Sweet Pete."
Pete was dedicated to working hard to provide a wonderful life for Liam. Pete’s passion for his family was unmatched, as he spent every moment he could with his family. No matter the occasion, Pete was always present; he was there for every member of the family. Pete would light up the room with his beautiful smile and infectious laugh. Pete left this earth all too soon, but he will live through all of us as his soul touched everyone he met.
Anyone who knew Pete understood that he believed it was better to help one another rather than trying to just be right and one-sided. Pete believed we must honor and value each person we encounter, that we must pay homage to the ordinary hero - not just the famous and wealthy, but the ones who go to work and love their kids, those with integrity who have the courage of their convictions.
Visitation will be on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 10:00 am and funeral service at 12:00 p.m. All services will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home located at 5668 Poplar Avenue Memphis, TN 38119.
