Percy "Bobbie" Cross' Obituary
Percy (Bobbie) Cross, age 80, passed away on February 16, 2026.
Born January 11, 1946, in Canton, Mississippi, she was the beloved daughter of her late parents, Percy Lee Cross and Ruby Lee Cross.
She spent many years in Canton and later made her home in Memphis.
Percy (Bobbie) was accepted by Christ at an early age, and years later she attended Beulah Baptist Church. She loved attending Church, cooking mouth-watering dishes, fellowshipping with her Church family, fishing, gardening and planting delicious vegetables and herbs with her beloved William, sewing, crossword puzzles, daily soap operas, and weekly wrestling shows.
She also enjoyed mentoring those who loved to cook and bake her recipes and lovingly taught her daughter Tammi her awesome cooking skills from childhood, which became a lifelong hobby.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving partner William Glover; her children Michael Woods, Derrick Woods, Tanya Woods, and Tammi Williams (Maurice Williams); her beautiful grandchildren Keydrull Franklin, Ashley Franklin, Raven Williams, Quisha Williams, Andre Woods, Ambria Williams, and Charmyia Woods; her sisters, Bessie Cross, Addie Taylor (Pete Taylor), and JoAnn Cross; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Woods; her son Otis Woods; her daughter-in-law Kimberly Williams Woods; and her brothers "Heck" Cross and John Cross Sr.
Services for Ms. Bobbie will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 10:45am in the Riverside Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive family and friends for visitation from 9:50am to 10:45am. Burial will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.
