Peggy Louise Crum's Obituary
Peggy Louise Crum, 71, was born in Memphis TN on April 4, 1946 to Samuel A Head, Jr. and Mary M Malone (Fisher). She died on October 4, 2017 at Germantown Methodist Hospital surrounded by family after 7 long fought months of pancreatic and liver cancer. She was predeceased by her father Samuel A Head Jr earlier this year. She is survived by her mother Peggy Fisher and her sister Patricia Sellars. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 25 years, Larry, her children Harrell Goad and Donna Davis (Darren), step-children Larry E Crum II (Stacey) and Andrea Crum Sansone (Michael), and grandchildren Larry E Crum III, Lauren Davis, Noah Sansone and Valla Sansone. Peggy graduated from Overton High in 1964 and was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She loved the South and especially being from Memphis. She also enjoyed following U of M Tigers basketball with husband Larry. Peggy loved to travel with Larry and together they visited most large cities in the US along with several foreign countries. Her favorite vacation was a river boat cruise on the Rhine and Moselle River where they toured western Europe and stayed in Switzerland several days with close friends. When Peggy was diagnosed with cancer, she wanted to take the kids and grandkids on a vacation to the beach in Sandestin, FL. She thoroughly enjoyed this trip and the time to create lasting memories. The love of her life in her later years was her grandchildren. She loved each one to the moon and back and spent most of her time attending their sporting and extracurricular events. Visitation will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Sunday, October 8 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. with funeral services on Monday, Oct 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 4851 Park Avenue. All those who knew Peggy would remember her as a sweet, caring, positive and uplifting soul. She was a great wife, mother, daughter and grandmother and role model. She was extremely kind and so full of love for her whole family. She’ll always be a strong memory for everyone that she encountered and her love will continue forever. “Celebrating Life…Behind the Stone Wall”
