Paul James Thompson's Obituary
Paul James Thompson was born in Concord, California on November 17, 1934, the 5th son of 7 boys, all of which were Veterans who proudly served their country. Paul passed from this life into his heavenly rest on 26th day of December, 2022 at the age of 88 years, 1 month and 9 days. He peacefully slipped away while in the care of Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville, Tennessee with his family by his side.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Clarice Thompson, 4 brothers- Chet, Murel, Carl and Ken. Chet was the only son who lost his life while serving in WWII in 1944. Paul is also preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanie Thompson, the mother of their 2 daughters.
Survivors include his 2 brothers Jerry and Richard Thompson; his wife, Barbara; 2 daughters Cyndy Alverado (Marty) and Julie Moffitt (Steve), along with two bonus children, Renee Loebel (John) and Drew Hathcock (Vicki). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Mauri Staten (Craig), Lauren Lynch (Russell), Kari Lahmon (Michael), Andy Moffitt (Kim), Nicole Ramirez (Anthony), Lauren Jordan (Patrick), Lindsey Hogue (Brent), Kelsey Loebel, Leslie Hathcock, Stacey Hathcock. He was also blessed with 21
great grandchildren and 1 great great granchild.
Graveside services for Mr. Paul Thompson will be conducted on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 1:30pm at Memorial Park Cemetery.
