Paul S. Pittz's Obituary
Paul S. Pittz, 81, of Memphis passed away on Monday, November 23, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born on July 30, 1928 in Juniata, NE, the son of Leo and Gertrude Pittz. Paul was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from the Defense Depot of Memphis after 36 years of service. He enjoyed many hobbies such as hunting, fishing, golf, and traveling. Paul was an avid Nebraska Corn Husker, University of Memphis, and St. Louis Cardinal fan.He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jerome Pittz and Marvin Pittz, sisters, Irene Fox and Maryanne Golike, and stepson, Steve Burkett. Paul is survived by his wife of 42 years, Bonnie R. Pittz, daughter, Patricia Dunning (Rick), stepson, Donald Burkett and sisters, Ruth Poore and Darlene Wilson (Gene). He is also survived by five grandsons, Ricky Dunning (Christy), Scott Dunning (Becky), Shawnee Burkett, Brad Hollis, and Jon Hollis and one granddaughter, Jenny Burkett, and seven great-grandchildren, Garrett, Chandler, Drew, Molly, Sophia, Hudson, and Mason.The family will be receiving friends from 6-8 pm. on Friday, November 27 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 28 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
