Paul Perry's Obituary
Paul J. Perry, 84, passed away November 10, 2011 in Memphis, Tennessee. Mr. Perry was born in Elaine, Arkansas to Paul and Dorothy Perry. He moved to Memphis in 1940, graduated from Messick High School and attended East Central Junior College in Decatur, Mississippi. He worked as a home builder for over 60 years. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Norma Perry, four daughters Patricia Kirby (Ronald), Paula DeStefanis Posey (Gary), Marjorie Crocker (Kevin), Janice Washburn (Michael); ten grandchildren, Philip Kirby, Amy Kirby LeMaster (Randall), Jonathan DeStefanis (Ali), Paul DeStefanis (Krissy), Anne DeStefanis Williams (Alex), Eric Crocker, Curt Crocker, Elaine Washburn Clowers (Charles), David Washburn (Ragan), and Rachel Washburn, and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters Evelyn Stahl (Steve) of Albany, GA, Margaret Mitchell (Robert) of Memphis, TN, and Marilyn Ledbetter (Walter) of Euless, TX, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by six sisters, Geneva Perry, Peggy Jane Perry, Mildred Kidd (David), Earlene Alberson (Ed), Carolyn Feltus Gould (Al), and Marjorie Rainey (Bernard), and two brothers, Duane Perry (Arma Jean) and Joe King Perry. He was a member of Saint John’s Episcopal Church where he and Norma were married in 1948. Visitation will be Monday, November 14, at 12 at Memorial Park Funeral Home with Funeral Service at 1 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
