He always wanted what was best for us and made sure we had everything we needed. He took us to and from school and we knew if we were in the right lane on the way home, we were going to stop at McDonalds which was the highlight of our day. Every Sunday and Wednesday rain or shine, he made sure we got to church on time. He would take us to Snowden so we could run around and play while he walked his mile around the field. There were so many more places he took us that made memories we will never forget❤️ I love you papaw.

Thank you for being the best papaw there was. I appreciate everything you and mamaw did for us kids growing up. I will never forget everything you taught me and did for me from pick ups at school to fishing. We will never forget how you kept mcdonald's in business after school everyday and captain d's on sunday afternoons after church. I love you and will miss you forever
