Patty Rottgering's Obituary
Patty Rottgering, 78, of Southaven, MS, passed away on December 3, 2022, after suffering from a long illness.
Patty was born on September 17, 1944, in Memphis, TN, to Thomas Poppelreiter and Tally (Noe) Poppelreiter.
After graduating from Memphis State University, she was an elementary school teacher in the Memphis area for 30 years. Patty enjoyed flying small airplanes as a private pilot. In her retirement, she loved traveling to Europe and devoted much time making handmade gifts for family and friends.
Patty is survived by her sister, Mary Lou (Greg) Brunette, and nephew, Dan Brunette of Lake Oswego, OR. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Tally Poppelreiter, and husband, Bob Rottgering.
The funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 16, at 10am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Cordova, TN. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
