Patti Lou Smith's Obituary
Patti Lou Smith, 68, of Southaven, Mississippi, passed away on January 19, 2026. She was born on May 27th, 1957 to the late Geraldine Griffith (McDaniel) and Marvin Carl Griffith Jr. in Memphis, Tennessee.
Patti, an alumni of Whitehaven High School class of 1974, dedicated over 20 years of service to Aetna Insurance in the customer relations department, and later 19 years at DeSoto Family Medical Center as a medical technician.
She loved her life, and her children more than anything else. Her son Dustin was born in 1983, following her daughter Brooklyn in 1988. In 2007, she married the love of her life, Shayne Smith in Hawaii, adding 3 more beloved children to their family.
Patti cherished time spent with her family and close friends. She loved the beach, the pool, anything involving water, as well as dancing and music. An avid traveler, she explored the world with her husband, visiting Italy, Greece, Amsterdam, France, England, Caribbean, and Spain. She was a devoted mother, a proud Ole Miss fan, and a source of warmth and joy to all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Griffith; her brother, Carl Griffith; her sister, Sandy Griffith Ash; her niece, Kyla Griffith; and sister in law Martha Griffith.
Patti is survived by her father, Marvin Griffith; her husband, Shayne Smith; her children, Dustin Bryant (Ashley), Brooklyn Fowler, Billy Smith (Michelle), Micah Smith, and Josh Smith; and her grandchildren, Anne Randle Bryant, Webb Bryant, and Shayne Smith; her sister, Debra Thomas; her brother, Robert Griffith, and her beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m., all at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
