Patsy Mogan's Obituary
Patsy Kathryn Mogan, age 86, passed away surrounded by family on July 19, 2018. Patsy was a loving, kind, and generous person who especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Patsy was born May 9, 1932 in Trimble, Tennessee to William and Mary Emma Maloney. She grew up in Trimble and graduated from Trimble High School. After graduating, she moved to Memphis, Tennessee and attended and graduated from the Memphis School of Commerce. Patsy then went to work for a railroad company in Memphis where she quickly ascended to a supervisor position. During this time, she met her future husband, Edward Mogan while he was attending medical school at the University of Tennessee. They fell in love and married on 12/17/55. Patsy and Ed had four beautiful daughters, Patricia, Kathryn, Angela, and Monica. Patsy managed Dr. Mogan’s medical practices and volunteered for Les Passes, West Cancer Clinic, and many other charities and organizations. Patsy was an avid golfer that included her making a hole-in-one. After retiring from their medical practices, Patsy and Dr. Mogan enjoyed their retirement traveling, playing golf, and spending time with their daughters and their husbands, and grandsons.Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Mogan, M.D. and her daughter, Angela McAllister. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Kulinski(Robert) and Monica Crackel(Matthew), both of Memphis, Tennessee, and Kathryn Cauthen(Charles) of Tampa, Florida. She is survived by two loving grandsons, Sean and Peyton Cauthen of Tampa, Florida, whom she loved very dearly.Patsy was a loving mother and grandmother, who loved being with her family and friends. Her passing to the Lord will leave a void in many hearts, but will give us the comfort of another kind and caring angel to watch over all of us.The family will receive friends on Friday, July 27 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service to be held Saturday, July 28 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38119 (901) 767-8930. “Celebrating Life… Behind the Stone Wall”.
