Her love for children is unmatched and far reaching. Born in Vilonia, Arkansas, she grew up among the cotton fields with her sisters and enjoyed hard work from her early years to her last moments. She had a passion for helping people and made everyone she met feel special. She enjoyed her garden, her swings, her kitchen, her family, and her dog, Bessie. She and Harold have been married for 63 years. Dr. Harold and “Miss” Pat Bowie are longtime members of the White Station Church of Christ. The visitation will be held from 2pm to 5pm on Monday, July 22, at the church with the funeral immediately after at 5pm. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, 5668 Poplar. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to be made to Harding Academy of Memphis as donations to the Dr. Harold and “Miss” Pat Bowie scholarship fund, 1100 Cherry Rd. Memphis, TN 38117.
