Patrick Joseph Walsh's Obituary
Patrick Joseph Walsh, 71, died Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Methodist Le Bonheur Hospital. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, to Michael Walsh and Carolyn Barrasso Walsh, Patrick graduated from Christian Brothers High School. For over 30 years, he worked for Valero Refinery in warehouse maintenance. Patrick loved to travel, visiting Orange Beach, Alabama, frequently, and as a devout Catholic, greatly enjoyed his pilgrimages to Ireland. A sports fan, Patrick coached girls’ softball, played golf, and supported his beloved Tennessee Volunteers every football season. He was also a connoisseur of the best Italian restaurants in the Memphis area and always had a recommendation at the ready.
Patrick is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Carolyn Barrasso Walsh.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Vaden Walsh, brother Michael, brother Tony, and sister Cathy (Herbert), Conley, daughter Christina, son Robert, and stepchildren Edward (Zoe), Ruth, and Vaden Jackson, and four grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, May 7, from 7:00-8:30 p.m., rosary to follow. Funeral Mass will be at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church on Friday, May 8, from 10:00-11:00 a.m., followed by interment at 12:30 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery, reception to follow at Memorial Park.
