Gosett family, I am so sorry for your loss. I haven’t seen Patrick in a while, as I moved away from Memphis, but we were great friends and used to run around Memphis together! He was so much fun and such a gentleman. He was always in good spirits and so sweet and always made me laugh. I was just thinking about him the other day and this is such a shock. He will truly be missed. God bless him.
May God give you peace and comfort during this time. We extend our deep sympathies to all the family and friends. Dan and Pat Childs

Dear Mr. And Mrs. Gossett,I knew Patrick for a few years. I was a bartender at Newby’s and he used to come in from time to time and we became good friends. He was always willing to do anything for his friends and he made me laugh harder than anyone I’ve ever known. We shared a love of pugs. He loved coming over and playing with the 2 I used to have. He moved my entire apartment for me when I moved into my house. He once came over at 2am to fix my broken toilet. He do these things with no expectation for anything in return. It’s just the kind of friend Patrick was. I haven’t seen him since about 2013 and I hate that we didn’t stay in touch. He was one of my favorite people back then. I regret that I will not be able to attend on Monday. I am a teacher and we return to school for the first day. Please know that your son was a wonderful friend and always a gentleman around me and all of my girlfriends. We are so sad to get this news and Patrick will never be forgotten.Warmly,Lauren Wingate
