Patrick "Pat" Lawson's Obituary
Patrick “Pat” Lawson, 69, of Olive Branch, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026, with his family by his side. He was born on April 10, 1957, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Chloe Mae Lawson and William Ellis Lawson.
Pat never met a stranger and was the life of every party. He had a passion for music that began early, playing drums at Speedway Baptist Church. He went on to play in several bands over the years, finding joy and connection through music.
Pat proudly retired after 30 years of dedicated service as an IT Consultant with the United States Postal Service. Even at work, he was known for his unforgettable sense of humor, reminding everyone not to take life too seriously.
Above all else, Pat’s greatest love was his family. He shared 27 years of marriage with his wife, Angela, and was always her biggest supporter. His children and grandchildren were everything to him—his heart, his purpose, and his greatest source of pride and joy.
Pat was preceded in death by his mother, Chloe Mae Lawson. He is survived by his loving wife, Angela Lawson; his father, William Ellis Lawson; his children, Kaitlin Lawson (Mike), Johannah O’Malley(Juan), Kelsey Gray (Spencer), and Chase Dabbs (Megan); his cherished grandchildren, Ellis, Elliot, and Sadie; his siblings, Rhonda Cook (Glen), Vicki Payton (David), Debbie Hillyer (Tom), and Mike Lawson (Sissy); along with a host of dear family members and friends.
His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, and in the laughter and love he leaves behind. Although we find comfort in knowing Pat is reunited with his mother and his bandmates, we will miss his unwavering support, love, and humor until we meet again.
