Patrick Donnelly's Obituary
Patrick R. Donnelly, 66, Memphis was born on June 18, 1946 in Memphis, TN. He passed away on January 16, 2013. His survivors include his wife of 46 years, Terri Plass Donnelly; daughters Erin Donnelly Brewer and Ashley Marie Donnelly; his grandson Tagg Christian Brewer; and dozens of loving extended family members. Patrick led a full and rich life including an early career in the U. S. Coast Guard. He trained as a registered nurse and was charge nurse in the Neurosurgical section at Methodist Hospitals of Memphis. Patrick later worked for Leica, A. G. in medical equipment sales and founded Premier Medical Company in 1986. Although he sold his business to Medtronic in 1999, he continued to work in the medical equipment field as long as his health allowed. He worked hard, he played with complete abandon, and he loved his family intensely. His mind never failed, but his body finally did and now he has gone to his well-deserved rest. His family will celebrate his life in private services on Friday, January 18th. Interment will be in Memphis Memory Gardens. The family requests any memorials be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Foundation. A private service will be held.
