Patrick Burke's Obituary
Patrick James Burke died peacefully on July 9th, after a long battle with Alzheimers. He was a lifelong Memphian. He attended Little Flower Elementary and graduated from Christian Brothers High School. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. After the war he attended Notre Dame University and graduated in 1950. Upon graduation he worked for 30 years for Firestone as an Electrical Engineer. He loved playing guitar and harmonica with his nephews. He enjoyed boating at Pickwick and wood working in his shop. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He leaves his wife Pat; and sister, Bea Roberts of Memphis; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until time of funeral mass at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 13th at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the entombment to follow at Memorial Park Mausoleum.
