Patricia "Patty" Worley, 72, was called home by her Heavenly Father on April 24, 2020 after a long illness. She was in her home where she was in the care of, and surrounded by, loved ones. Patty was the youngest of two twins born Read Obituary
Dr. Worley is one of the only therapists in my life who really tried to help me. I'm 35 now, but I saw her when I was 11. She was so good with me. I always remember holding onto her Monkey doll. She even let me take it home one week. She was a kind soul who really made a difference in my life. Thank you, Dr. Worley.
Well, Dr. Worley was a part of my family. My girls and I went to her for counseling and now years later, my oldest daughter asked “Where is Dr. Worley?” I said do you want to talk to her, and she said yes. As I tried to search for her fearing she had retired, I came across the obituary. I just wanted to offer my deepest condolences to your family from our family. We loved Dr. Worley.
I am so sorry to hear about Patty's passing. Patty, Allen, and I were in the Memphis State band back in the late 60's. It was so nice to reconnect with them when we placed membership at Park Avenue. Her Faith and love of God was so evident. To Allen, Betty, and the family, our deepest sympathy. Godspeed as you move forward in the days ahead and beyond.
I need to share notes Patty wrote on her church program October 1, 2017 (Study on Jesus's death and resurrection):
Please do not be sad for long or think of me as ending,
though my journey on this earth has ended.
Do think of me as free now from all my weariness.
Do think of me as safe in the arms of our Lord.

Patti was such a down to earth clinician, had great ability to deal directly with very complicated situations. I always felt confident about her decisions about families that we shared responsibility for.
I was so saddened to hear Patty passed away. I thought she was wonderful. Sending my most heart felt condolences to all of you.

So sorry for your loss. Allen you came to my mom’s funeral and that meant the world to me. I wish I could be there for you. Know that we will keep all of you in our prayers.
We became friends with the Worley family when we were first married. Our friendship has spanned many years and we've shared lots of memories (even a trip to New York when our children were very young). Our hearts ache for this wonderful family and we know they will find peace in sharing all the wonderful memories of Patty.
