Patricia "Bronwein" Stevens' Obituary
Patricia “Bronwein” Stevens, 68, beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend of Memphis, TN passed away peacefully on July 9, 2013. Bronwein was a graduate of Overton High School in 1961. She attended Memphis State University and was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. Bronwein later moved to Chicago, Illinois where she resided for 34 years. During Bronwein’s stay in Chicago, she had a successful career in accounting. She participated in numerous volunteer activities, including leading both walking and river tours for the Chicago Architecture Foundation. Additionally, Bronwein supported Chicago’s theatre community as a member of the Saints, interacted with guests as a docent at the Lincoln Park Zoo and taught science to students at the Museum of Science and Industry. In 2008, Bronwein returned to Memphis, Tennessee. Born in Braddock, Pennsylvania on July 18, 1944, Bronwein was the eldest of five children. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister Sharron (Sherry) Cook. She is survived by: her son Shane Stevens of Los Angeles, California; her mother Mildred (Millie) Morlan of Germantown, TN.; sisters Doreen Dundas (Richard) of Bartlett, TN.; Charlene Ulander (Ken) of Germantown, TN.; her brother Mark Morlan (Maria) of Memphis, TN.; her brother-in-law Wayne Cook of Germantown, TN.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Family will receive friends Sunday, July 14, 2013, from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee.
