Patricia Jo "Pat" Smith Stallings' Obituary
Patricia Jo “Pat” Smith Stallings, 90, a Memphian for most of her life, passed away on June 23, 2021, in Palm City, Florida. She was born to Mary Catherine and Benjamin Winston Smith on July 1, 1930, in Blytheville, AR.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Joe W. Stallings; her brother, Benjamin Winston Smith, Jr. and her sister, Mary Anna Smith Coleman.
The most important thing in life to Pat was being a good wife to her husband, a committed mother to her sons, and a doting grandmother to her three grandchildren.
She leaves two sons, Jody Stallings, and his wife, Jewel, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL., and Randy Stallings, and his wife, Karen, of Germantown, TN. She also leaves three grandchildren: Britt Stallings, Brock Stallings and Kendall Stallings.
Pat came from a large family of nine children and all were raised in Humboldt, TN. Her surviving siblings include Virginia Smith Schillinger, James W. Smith, Thomas L. Smith, Jerry L. Smith, Kay Smith Boyd, and Harold L. Smith, all from the Memphis area, along with 17 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, June 28, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, 38119. The funeral mass will be on Tuesday, June 29, at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 2300 Hickory Crest, Memphis, 38119. The burial will be private.
