Patricia Ann Rapp's Obituary
Patrica Ann Rapp (Morrell) was born in South Memphis on October 25th, 1950, and passed away in Cordova, TN on May 17th, 2026, at the age of 75.
She grew up on Benning St. while attending Longview Elementary and South Side High School. “Pam” later transferred to Fraser High where she fell in love with class president, Lawrence Rapp, and they later married on July 10th, 1970.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Grinder, her mother, Adele P. Kissinger and her father, Monte Morrell of Memphis. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Lawrence, two sons Dietrich “Deke” Rapp (Veronica), Kurt Rapp (Natalie), and three grandsons Garrison, Cannon, and Alex.
Pam was truly the caregiver, for her family or her friends, giving her heart freely to whoever needed it. Hers was the house where everyone was welcome, food and fun were always plentiful, and PamPoo had a laugh that could fill the room. Her stories were well known to all, complete with repeated punchlines; hosting holiday celebrations was her specialty, and her cooking was legendary. Her fridge overflowed, just as her love did for all of her boys. Pam enjoyed nothing more in her life than to cook for everyone and share stories.
A few of her favorite places to visit were Florence, Italy, Montecarlo (where she chatted with Ringo Starr and won 10,000 French francs) and trips to Ireland, but nothing compared to her Disney vacations with the whole family every year. Pam also adored her jewelry collection, a love she shared with her aunt, Ann “Annie P” Pulliam.
If you knew Pam you enjoyed her colorful personality and spirit.
A celebration of life will be announced soon.
