Patricia Ann McCauley's Obituary
Patricia Ann McCauley, 80, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away at St.
Francis-Bartlett on June 7, 2023 from complications of pneumonia. She was
predeceased by her mother and father, Eneica Thelma and Edwin Leroy Fisher, her
husband, Charles Anthony McCauley, Jr., her son, Charles Michael McCauley, and
her brother, Richard Kern Fisher, Sr.
She leaves behind her older brother, John Fisher of Harrisburg, PA, and
many nieces and nephews including Rick (Patricia) Fisher, Debra (Kenneth)
Nichols, Jeff (Jim Vlasaty) Fisher, Cyndie (Harold) McKinney, and David (Tracie)
Fisher, all of Memphis and the surrounding area. Another nephew, Robert Fisher,
lives in Harrisburg, PA. She will be missed by seven grandnieces and nephews
(Trey, Ashley, Shawn, Kameron, Skyler, Drew and Luke) and two great
grandnieces (Harper and Jordan).
Pat, more affectionately known to everyone as Aunt Pat, was born and raised
in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. After graduating from John Harris High School, Pat
worked for many years as an Administrative Assistant in the Special Education
Department of the Harrisburg City School District in Harrisburg, PA. After retiring,
she enjoyed fishing and camping and visiting her favorite place, Ocean City,
Maryland, with her beloved husband, Charlie. She truly loved the outdoors and
was the original nature girl!
After the passing of her husband in 2008, Pat moved to Memphis to be
closer to her extended family. She told wonderful stories of her life growing up in
Pennsylvania and was often called the “life of the party”! She looked forward to
spending time with her family and friends at various functions and get-togethers,
and especially loved the holiday season with her family. She enjoyed participating
in all the activities at her residence, The Atrium and Cottages at Lutheran Village
on Covington Pike. Pat was always up for any kind of adventure or outing with her
friends. She was well-loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home &
Cemetery, located at 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, on Saturday, June 17th.
Visitation will be at 12:00 noon with a service following at 1:00.
