Patricia Ann Lowery's Obituary
Patricia Ann Lowery, 62, was born June 14, 1952, and passed away September 10, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Memphis. After graduating from Overton High School, she attended Memphis State University where she pledged Alpha Xi Delta sorority. In 1972, she was chosen princess of the Al Chymia Shrine Temple in the Memphis Cotton Carnival. She held numerous sales, clerical and management positions over the years before being forced to retire because of severe back problems. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Catherine Spillman; her paternal grandparents, John Henry and Vernie Spillman and her maternal grandmother, Eva Phelps. She is survived by a daughter, April Wilson; son, Chris Peeples; sister, Pam (Gary) Gray; brother, Dennis (Betty) Spillman; niece, Emily Gray; 2 grandsons and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins in Yadkinville, N. C. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 14 from 5-7 pm with a graveside service on Monday, September 15 at 10:00 am, all at Memorial Park Funeral Home.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall”.
