Patricia Meadows Kelly-Donaldson, beloved mother, wife, and friend went to be with her Father in Heaven after a long illness on Friday, July 30, 2010. Patty Ann was born and raised in Memphis, TN, to parents James Mitchell and Rosa Lee Meadows. Her greatest joys in life were her children, Alicia Marie Kelly McDaniel and Derek Matthew Kelly; husband Edward C. Donaldson, and grandchildren Alden Price and Bishop Pierce McDaniel, son-in-law Shawn P. McDaniel, daughter-in-law, Kimberly Kelly and Abe W. Kelly Jr., father of her children. Patricia worked for the Memphis City Council for 14 years. She received Bachelor of Science from the University of Phoenix with emphasis on Business and Management. Her passion in life was helping others find happiness. She loved her friends and family unselfishly, savored life, and spread laughter and joy to all who knew her. She longed to be like the sunshine, helping us feel warm, safe, and embraced by God’s love. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 3, at Memorial Park Funeral Home, with graveside services to follow at 11:30 a.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to “The Wings Foundation” in association with the West Clinic, on Humphreys, or the National Ovarian Cancer Alliance.
