Patricia "Pat" Brown's Obituary
Patricia (Pat) Brown, passed peacefully surrounded by her children on July 2, 2019. Pat was an amazing woman. She started out as a singer on the Wayne King Show in Chicago in 1955 in the early days of television.After that she married Harry Brown, raised 4 kids and helped her husband with his business, New South Sales. At 54, she started an 18 year career at FedEx as a correspondent for Fred Smith. She also started doing triathlons at this age travelling to triathlons in Belgium, Chicago, and Canada.After retiring from FedEx, Pat and her husband spent most days exercising and interacting with their many friends at the Jewish Community Center in Memphis.Pat and Harry were lifelong learners and audited classes at University of Memphis well into their 80’s. They enjoyed the beach and travelled often to Gulf Shores, Alabama.Pat is survived by her children, Camille Bricken, Cheshire Connecticut, Kelley Walker (Wesley) of Olive Branch MS, Jeffrey Brown (Joy) of Cordova, 3 grandchildren, Brianna, Samantha, and Zoie.Pat’s wishes to donate her body to the University of Tennessee Memphis Anatomical Bequest Program were carried out.A Celebration of Life /Memorial for Pat will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 2-4 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery 5668 Poplar Avenue.Memorial donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.All services will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38119 (901) 767-8930. “A Fitting Farewell for Everyone”.To view the memorial tribute video, please click below: https://www.tributeslides.com/tributes/show/CW6HXX77GDQF3PM7
