Parker E. Lloyd's Obituary
PARKER E. LLOYD, passed away peacefully at home on September 20, 2014, after an extended illness. He was born September 24, 1926 to John M. and Pauline Lloyd. He was a Navy veteran. Mr. Lloyd was married for 62 years to Helen Lloyd. Together, they raised four children, Virginia Byrd (Lanny), Kathryn Harris (Dave), Brad Lloyd (Edie Crawford), and Tim Lloyd. Following a long career as Manager of Fuller Alignment, Mr. Lloyd worked at Audubon Golf course and served as Outside Operations Manager for Stonebridge Golf course. He was also a realtor with Crye-Leike Realtors. He was a member of Germantown Church of Christ. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing. He loved his grandchildren, Jay Cooley (deceased), Lauren Johnson (Michael), Lanna Byrd, Ryan Parker Lloyd, Sarah Tullos (Matt), Connor Lloyd, and Sydney Lloyd, and his great-grandchildren, Iris Johnson and Henry Parker Johnson. In addition to his wife, children, and grandchildren, Mr. Lloyd is survived by one brother, William D. Lloyd of Olive Branch, MS. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, September 23 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 24 at Germantown Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be sent to the Germantown Church of Christ Prison Ministry Fund.
