Pamela Sue Parker's Obituary
Pamela Sue Parker of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on October 5, 2024. She was predeceased by her parents, Samuel Thomas Parker Jr. and Joyce Parker (Johannes), and her brother, Samuel Thomas Parker III ("Tom"). She is survived by her sister, Linda Parker Carlson of Essex, Massachusetts; her brother, David Brian Parker of Springhill, Tennessee; her “adopted” sister, Lien Hirst of Santa Ana, California; and many nieces and nephews.
Born in Highland Park, Illinois on December 28, 1957, Pam grew up in Deerfield, Illinois, and Tustin, California. She attended Yuba City College before earning her associate degree in Chemical Engineering Technology at State Technical Institute at Memphis, Tennessee.
Pam was devoted to her family, especially her parents, and moved back to Memphis from California to be closer to them. She had a lifelong appreciation for music and enjoyed playing guitar and keyboard with friends. Her hearty laugh and gentle presence left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She found comfort and companionship in her faithful black Labrador Retrievers, who were always by her side.
Pam will be remembered for her generous spirit, her dedication to her loved ones, her good humor and the light she brought to those around her. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A family burial service will be held in the spring of 2025 at Ridgecrest Cemetery in Jackson, Tennessee.
