McCarter, Pamela Ruth's Obituary
Pamela Ruth McCarter, age 66, passed away on March 21, 2025.
Born in Amsterdam, NY, Pam was the youngest of 4. She graduated from Canajoharie High School where she was a competitive swimmer. Growing up, her father was a chemist for Beech Nut and an organist for the church, and her mother worked as a librarian. She attended Rhodes College and raised two children, Jeremy and Amanda, and worked for 25 years as a Programing Analyst for FedEx. She was a University of Memphis fan and enjoyed golfing. In 2000, she married Bob McCarter and treasured their over 20 years of marriage. She also never met a dog she didn’t like and even ran a successful home-delivery pet food service, Creature Café, with her husband for several years.
She is survived by her sister, Sandy (Walter), and brothers, Keith (Nancy) and Scott (David), children and stepchildren, Jeremy (Danielle), Amanda (Clinton), Shayne (Theresa), Ginger (John), Lane (Kim), and Shelby, and her eight cherished grandchildren, Chloe, Kiera, Maddoc, Addyson, Camille, Justin, Brad and Katie, along with her beloved fur-babies, Titus, Dolly, and Maddie.
