Owen Parker Bryant's Obituary
Owen Parker Bryant, 88 passed away August 1, 2018. Owen was a teacher for 28 years, teaching middle school students in Physical Education and History. He was a huge Dallas Cowboy fan, asking everyone he met, “Are you a Cowboy fan?” Owen was very talented in many ways. He loved to sing, was once a ping pong champion, loved to bowl, play tennis, and many other sports. Owen was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Bryant and is survived by his spouse of over 60 years, Elizabeth Morrison Bryant; and 1 daughter, Barbara Lisa (David) Luiken, 3 grandchildren, David Grant (Fernanda) Luiken, Jr, Lindsey Elizabeth (Kyle) Stephens, and Caroline Anne Luiken; 2 great-grandchildren, David Grant Luiken, III and Andrew Kyle Stephens, Jr. There will be a gathering of family and friends beginning at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 11 followed by services at 11:00 am at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens in Grenada, MS.Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38119 (901) 767-8930. “Celebrating Life… Behind the Stone Wall”.
