Ouida Claire Vaughan's Obituary
Ouida Claire Vaughan, 94, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 in Bluffton, South Carolina. Mrs. Vaughan was preceded in death by her husband Howard Vaughan, Jr., of Union. South Carolina, and their daughter Rebecca Vaughan. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and was a graduate of Central High School. Then as a career Navy wife and an eager traveler, she saw all fifty states and many foreign countries. She was an avid gardener to which she attributed her longevity.
She is survived by one daughter, Virginia Michael and her husband Lewis, with whom she had resided in South Carolina since 2015. Also surviving her are three grandchildren; Courtney Chandler and her husband Nathan, Alexis Ramsey and her husband Lee, and Howard Vaughan Michael, and one great grandson, James Beckett Chandler.
Mrs. Vaughan’s graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 27th, 2024 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.
