Ouida Pearson's Obituary
Ouida Pearson, 90, a lifelong Memphian, passed away, November 1, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Amyth Taylor and Goldie Lyons, her husband, Turley Pearson and her son, Ted Pearson.
Ouida graduated from Sacred Heart High School. She married Turley Pearson and gained 8 in-laws and their spouses along with many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, listening to all kinds of music, going to casinos, singing, dancing, reading and doing crossword puzzles until her eyesight diminished after a bout with shingles. She enjoyed weekends at Sardis with her beloved husband and other family members. She realized in her late 80's that she needed forgiveness of her sins and she turned to Christ, repented and received Him as her Savior. She began to enjoy listening to God's Word being read and she liked watching Bible teachers. She was ready to go to her heavenly home, confident that Jesus had prepared a place for her. John 14:1-3
She is survived by her daughters, Bernadette O’Brien (James), Jeanne Stock (Jim), and Cathy Endsley (John), seven grandchildren, Chris Queen (Laura), Amy Wolford (Chris), Hunter Stock, III (Emily), Emily C. Stock, Philip Pearson (Katie), Jordan Pearson, Michael Pearson, seven great grandchildren, and her beloved caretaker and companion, Lily Rogers. Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until the service time at 2:30 p.m., Friday, November 5, 2021 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Memoriams in her honor may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
