Orvis Victor Flurry's Obituary
Orvis Victor Flurry, 94, of Memphis, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Frances Flurry, daughter, Tricia Whitworth, grandsons, Michael McLean, Will Whitworth, John Whitworth and granddaughter, Jenna Sykes. He also left great-grandchildren, Reid and Eden Sykes and Liam Victor Whitworth. He and Fran were married for 75 years. He was a WWII veteran serving in the US Marine Corp. He worked as a sheet metal mechanic specialist and was a vocational technical instructor. He was a long-time member of Colonial Baptist Church. He loved his family above all else after the Lord. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, December 4 from 1pm until the time of the funeral at 2pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis. The burial will immediately follow. Memorial contributions can be made in Mr. Flurry’s name to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
