Ola Faye Campbell Corder's Obituary
Ola Faye Campbell Corder, 90, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2011. She was born on December 2, 1920, in Bethel Springs, McNairy County, TN. She was a long-time resident of Memphis, TN but had lived in Metairie, LA since 2007. Mrs. Corder was Salutatorian of her high school class in Bethel Springs, TN. She was a retired civil service employee of the U.S. Air Force and a long-time member of Jackson Ave. United Methodist Church in Memphis. Ola was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Corder. She is survived by two sons, James Archie (Carroll) of Metairie, LA, and Robert (Suzan) of Bartlett, TN. She is also survived by four grandsons, Jimmy Corder of Eden Prairie, MS, Clifford Corder of Baton Rouge, LA, Michael Corder of Memphis, TN, Jacob Corder of Bartlett, TN; as well as ten great-grandchildren. She was lovingly called “Memaw”. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:30 on Sunday, November 6th, with the funeral service immediately following at 2:30 p.m., both at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Jackson Ave. United Methodist church, Harmony Hospice in Metairie, or American Cancer Society.
