Norman Lee Kercher's Obituary
Norman Lee Kercher, Sr., 76, passed away on April 9, 2013. Born November 30, 1936, Norman was preceded in death by his two granddaughters, Kendall and Callie. He leaves his wife, Barbara of 54 years; his children, Brenda Smith (Vernon III), and Norman Kercher Jr. (Catherine); his grandchildren, Brittany (Wes), Natalee (Chas), Lacey, Barbara (Matt), Caleb, and Lee; his great-grandchildren, Kaleigh, Kercher, Lynnlee, Braelyn, and Chip; his step-granddaughter, Lydia (Jeff); and step-great-grandchildren, Jeffery, Christopher, and Savannah. He also leaves one brother, Bill (Sharon). Norman was retired from Schering Plough and his retirement job was with Heartland Security. He was an Army Veteran and loved his church. He was an active member of Mullins United Methodist Church. He was a very strong Christian leader to his family, friends and community. He was a beacon of light to each and every person he came in contact with in his life path! One thing he said so often was that he loved the beautiful legacy he would leave behind! The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. until service time at 4:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Mullins United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
