Norma Hayes Gosney's Obituary
Norma Hayes Gosney, 93, widow of Robert Rocco Gosney, died peacefully on January 25, 2018. Mrs. Gosney was born in Helena, AR to Dr. Harry J. Hayes and Victoria Hayes but moved to Memphis as a young girl. After graduating from the old Catholic High School she began her career as a stewardess for Chicago and Southern Airways (Delta Airlines). She retired from Slumber Products where she worked for approximately 30 years. She was predeceased by her sisters, Madge Phelan Lewis and Patricia Harris and her brother, Jack Hayes. She leaves behind the loves of her life, her nephew, Rick Phelan and nieces, Kitty Phelan Moak and Vickie Harris along with her great-niece and nephews and their children. A private graveside service will be held at Memorial Park. The family requests any memorials be made to the Church Health Center or the charity of the donor’s choice.Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38119 (901) 767-8930. “Celebrating Life… Behind the Stone Wall”.
