Norma Stacks Atkins' Obituary
Norma Stacks Atkins, 84, passed away on October 16, 2020. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Bartlett and loved square dancing and traveling. She stood up for what she believed in and never met a stranger. Her beloved Nellie and her family were always in her heart and thoughts first and foremost. She loved her family and will be truly missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Norma was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Austin Stacks, Sr., and her second husband, Wilford “Jack” Atkins; also, by her grandson, Wayne Ward. Her survivors include three daughters, Cheryl Stacks, Cathy Dockery (Roger), Carole Harris (David); one son, Edward “Ed” Stacks Jr. (Pattye); one sister, Nell Wade Martin; eight grandchildren, Peter, Andy, April, Daniel, Stephanie, Catherine, Victoria “Tia”, Faith; and five great grandchildren, Jordan, Hayllie, Conner, Izzii, and Ivy; and a host of extended family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 5 to 7pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be on Thursday beginning at 10 am at the funeral home with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that all memorials be made in her honor to American Diabetes Association, ASPCA, or to Faith Baptist Church of Bartlett.
