Nora Helen Tully's Obituary
Nora Helen Tully “I hold you in my heart, for we have shared together God’s blessings.” Philippians 1:7Nora Helen Tully was born in Riga, Latvia on June 11, 2007. She died on June 10, 2013 and the world lost a beautiful treasure who taught all who knew her how to live every day of life: Joie de vivre captures Helen perfectly. Her life, while filled with tremendous challenges, serves as an inspiration to her devoted family and countless friends. Helen was always happy with a positive attitude. Through Helen, everyone learned to enjoy and celebrate every single day of life. She made those fortunate enough to know her thankful for sunshine and rain, butterflies on a window and flowers that grow in the most unexpected places. The world through Helen’s eyes was a miracle and joyous celebration filled with love and laughter. She loved painting, learning to read and write, and most of all playing with her brother, Martin, her puppy and her friends. Although she was only “almost 6” she understood the meaning of perseverance. She never gave up. Whether she was fighting to win a game against her brother, challenged to tie her shoe laces or battling cancer, Helen was determined to win. Helen is the cherished daughter of John and Andra Tully, a sister to Martin and the granddaughter of Elizabeth Tully and Inara and Janis Avotins. Helen is predeceased by her grandfather John Tully, Sr. She leaves her great grandmother Eleonora Valujeva, aunts and uncles Katie and Charles Dickinson, Mary and John Dicken, and Elizabeth and Brennon Fitzpatrick and Arta and Mareks Bazovskis, and cousins Mary Dickinson and Mac Plosser, Virginia Dickinson and Steve LaSala, Rob Dickinson, John Dicken, Tully Dicken, Ellie Fitzpatrick and Tully Fitzpatrick, her godparents Ann and Bobby Leatherman and their children Liza, Annie and Bo and her treasured Mona Owens. The family and friends of Helen Tully thank God for the extraordinary gift of her life.
