Nona K. Miller's Obituary
Nona Kay Miller, 66, died Friday, July 23, 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Memphis. She is a member of Germantown Baptist Church. She is a former president of the Shelby County Republican Women, and was privileged to be a Tennessee Delegate for the Republican Party in several Conventions, San Diego (1996), Philadelphia (2000), and New York City (2004). She spent most of her married life as a homemaker, wife, and mother. However, during the early married years she was a secretary for the Geological Department at the University of Kansas, and also a secretary for the School for the Blind (Ohio) over 20 years. Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband of 48 years, Duane Douglas Miller; her mother, Edith Marie Anderson, a sister, Dottie (Darryl) Mohr of Hattiesburg, MS; three sons, Ron Miller, Don (Kristina) Miller, and Randy (Carly) Miller all of Memphis; her 4 grandchildren Elizabeth Boywid, Laura Scott, Ellen Miller, and Henry Miller; and 2 great grandchildren, Miller Scott, and Clover Scott. A visitation will be held Tuesday, July 27, 2010 from 5 – 7 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. also at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
