My heart breaks for the Suffield family. Nick was always such a joy to be around. I’ve known Nick since October of 2004, since then we have worked numerous call center jobs with one another. Quiet and reserved until you get to know him then nothing but laughs and smiles. I remember always admiring him for his kindness to others as well as his selflessness. We have both struggled with some of the curve balls that life had thrown at us, so we were definitely kindred spirits. Nick was so knowledgeable in so many areas. Oftentimes he would be the first one I would turn to when I needed advice or just a shoulder. 2014 started off and remained a pretty rough year for the both of us, sometimes we would send each other funny pictures or links to brighten one another’s day. Sometimes we would spend a good couple of hours just venting to one another. A few years after we met I remember telling him, “I knew we’d get along just fine when I noticed we have the same tattoo” talking about the matching nautical star that we both shared on our forearm. When I heard of his passing I just stared in disbelief for a moment then the tears started to fall. Nick was loved by so many people and I’ll never forget that laugh. When he laughed there was such a sincerity in his laughter, it was infectious. Even though he may no longer be with us physically, he will always remain in our hearts until we meet again. My prayers go out to Mr. and Mrs. Suffield and the rest of the Suffield family. He may have gone away but he will most definitely not be forgotten. Rest in peace Nick. – Casey E.
